When pregnancy, labor, and birthing are supported in a way that does not interfere with the birthing person's natural instincts, it can be one of the most empowering and fulfilling experiences in life. When birthing in a natural setting, it feels more relaxed and comfortable for the entire family unit. This experience has the potential to impact everyone present in the deepest of ways.
Birth is a magical miracle, a rite of passage, especially if you get to choose where, how, and with whom you are entrusting your care. Having options in the community setting that are not in the home can be a middle ground for some families. We strive to give options to our families that meets your needs.

WHY: In order to assist recovery during postpartum. The results vary from each individual, however, and we cannot guarantee specific results as with any herbal protocol. However, some feedback we have received indicates that it has a tremendous impact on energy levels, feelings of strength and overall well-being, strengthened immune system, restored sex drive, increased milk supply, emotional balancing, halting hair loss, and restoring blood hemoglobin levels back to normal.
During our classes, parents and caregivers will learn about the golden hours after birth and what to hold sacred with regards to infant care and bonding.
Other topics include holding, feeding and burping, diapering, swaddling, bathing, umbilical cord care, nail care, standard newborn testing and procedures, immunizations, holistic care options, and how to communicate with caregivers about your desires and how to promote newborn wellness.
Our approach to breastfeeding education is based on understanding the newborn’s natural reflexes and the maternal hormonal cocktail that occurs at the time of birth. Anatomy and physiology of the newborn and the breast will be discussed in detail. Ways to support the newborn to self-attach will be discussed. Couples will learn how to know if the baby is latched well and how to know if the baby is getting enough. Couples will learn what to expect in the first days and weeks of breastfeeding.
